National Sick Note Day
That's an unofficial title: but, the first Monday in February is thus dubbed. The alternative "Duvet Day" moniker is also cute.
More than 300,000 workers could call in sick on Monday on what has become the worst day in the year for office absenteeism, research suggests.
Made it in to work though there was a great temptation to roll over and fall asleep.

Mmmmmmm! Local Beer!
Managed to find the local brewery at Abbotsham, Country Life Brewery. It's located at the Big Sheep: "Devon's Top Tourist Attraction"(tm).
Looking forward to quaffing some Old Appledore Ale with homemade pizza.
Frustratingly, our local pub and local shop do not stock the beer. Seems that every pub in a 10 mile radius but ours does serve local beer. Boo.
